11. ...And the jackals cheered.

Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck less than an hour ago, and already people are celebrating his "death" not even knowing if he's actually dead or alive.

We have reached the point in society where death is no longer a universal tragedy -- where empathy and human dignity are conditional. I don't care if you hate the man. I don't care if you aren't saddened by the thought that he might die. What you should be, is disturbed that this even happened. People have become so mentally, emotionally, and physically unhinged that it's now acceptable to kill people because you don't like their opinions, beliefs, or something they said. Violence has now become the standard to silence those with opposing views.

Humanity has reached a point of depravity that we've been escalating toward for the last decade, and unfortunately, I don't think it's one we can turn back from. I don't care what "side" you're on -- left, right, center, up down forward or back.

If you would celebrate the murder of a father, a husband, a son, simply because you don't agree with them... you are a walking void. You are dead on your feet. You have no thoughts other than being slave to an ideology that sucks the life out of you, robs you of anything remotely human. And one day you will die just like everyone else, leaving behind a forgettable existence.

Memento mori, and God help us all.

EDIT: He was officially confirmed dead. He was 31. May he rest in peace.

EDIT 2: I expected to see the posts I was talking about in this post, but wow.... just when I think I've seen it all. Just know that I truly have nothing better to do today than to report every. single. one of them, with screenshots. And I am enjoying doing so. If there's one tiny bit of comfort to be had from this situation, it's that Charlie did not suffer. I've read many posts from medical professionals who have seen the footage, and they all agree that he lost consciousness instantly, collapsed, and was dead within a minute. He felt no pain, and likely didn't even comprehend the fact that he'd been shot. He had likely passed long before EMS arrived, and the report of him being "in critical condition" was likely crowd control and to give his family time to react, and his team time to compose a statement.

EDIT 3: Apparently some people seem to be under the impression that I will "hear them out" on why they think this man's murder was justified or that he "deserved it". So let me reiterate again to make this perfectly clear: If you AT ALL condone, celebrate, justify, or "uNdErStAnD" the murder of Charlie Kirk, I will screenshot, report and remove your comment. You are not welcome here.

EDIT 4: If you're going to get bent about me reporting your comments, argue with An because I don't make the rules. Two mods have already posted and confirmed that your BS violates the rules just like it did when y'all worshipped Luigi Mangione:

My stance on Kirk's death. - Koltin's Blog | SpaceHey

My thoughts on Kirk's death and the reaction (also some clarification on recent bans) - Gray's Blog | SpaceHey

Reminder not to praise Luigi Mangione - Gray's Blog | SpaceHey

Refusing to let y'all violate the rules and celebrate murder is not me "living in an echo chamber" -- you're just mad that you're actually facing consequences for breaking the rules. BTW, over 800 people have already been fired for doing the same thing. If you believe people deserve to die for their opinions, don't cry when you get banned or fired for yours.
